Two months and counting...

I have two months and counting until baby Reeves comes. I can't believe how fast this pregnancy has gone by. I am trying to enjoy every moment that I feel the baby kick because it may be the last time that I feel those things. The baby moves around a whole lot and very forcefully which I don't remember happening with Madison.

I am also trying to enjoy Madison as much as I can because her world is about to completely change. I know that she is going to be a great big sister. She will be momma's little helper. She already gives the baby kisses and tells the baby Hi. I don't think she quite gets what is about to happen as much as we tell her. We have the baby's room ready to go because we are able to use all of Madison's old bedding.

Please pray for us during these next couple of months. I am excited and hopeful to see what all God has in store for our new family of four.

The Year in Review...

I can't believe how much you have changed Madison. It is crazy how this year has flown by. You have changed so much and grown up right before our eyes. God has truly blessed your Dad and I with you. I can't believe that in three short months you will be a big sister to a brother or sister. I know already that you are going to be a great sister. You are already a great momma to all of your baby dolls.

Some events of the past year for Miss Madison Faith...

- Madison turned one year old and started walking one short month later
- started to understand what we were telling her
- saying so many words (for example: momma, daddie, duke, cali, granny, pappaw, nana, pop, orange, apple, banana, baby, elmo, rock, yeah, hello, hi, and the list goes on and on)
- she became very independent and wanted to learn to do things on her own
- started to feed yourself and not take bottles anymore
- really started to like fruit and vegetables
- she rode in the car for 18 hours one way to North Carolina
- in both of her uncles weddings this year
and so many more...

Madie, we love you so much! I hope that this year brings us as many adventures as 2008 did.

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

We had a wonderful Christmas Eve and Day. We went to Brad's parents house and feed the reindeer because that is where Santa was going to come for Madison.

20 weeks sonogram pictures

I feel as though I haven't really talked very much about our other child. I am not a big journal writer, but I want to be able to remember things about my pregnancy. Then, I thought why not blog about the pregnancy.

We don't know the sex of the baby. It has been a completely different pregnancy from Madison. I was sick in the beginning of my pregnancy and really didn't like being pregnant. I am now 27 weeks and love being pregnant. I haven't started swelling like I did with Madison nor have I gained a whole lot of weight (which means I was overweight to begin with). I think it has a lot to do with the fact that I am pregnant in different times of the year. I think the cold weather is really helping me out a lot. Here are some of my 20 weeks ultrasound pictures. This baby really doesn't like to move very much when we are trying to get pictures. We tried several times to try and get the baby to move, but to no avail. I feel the baby move all day long and sometimes makes me nauseous when it moves a whole lot. Madison loves to talk to the baby and asks a lot of the baby where the baby is. She is going to be a great big sister. I can already tell.

I have been so blessed to not have very many complications. God is so good! I pray that the rest of my pregnancy is as easy as the first part of it has been.

19 months old

Madison is 19 months old today. I can't believe it. She is growing up way too fast. She is so smart and really knows what is going on around her. We have been truly blessed with such a wonderful child. She is however going through the terrible twos a little too early for my liking. At 18 months, she started telling us "No". I didn't think she really knew what she was saying until one day she didn't want to do something and looked at me in the eye and told me "No". We have already started putting her in time out.

Behinds all of that, Madison really is a great child. She really wants to know more about everything and is asking a lot of questions. Mainly, what is that? why? Her vocabulary sure has changed and it is hard for me at times to remember that she is still just a baby. She knows how to say everything that she wants and still really wants to watch Elmo. He is really the only TV show that she wants to watch. We introduced the DVD player to her on the way to North Carolina and I think she really likes to watch it, but hasn't really wanted to watch it all the time when she is in the car.

I miss her everyday when I go to work, but also know that she needs that time to be with her friends. She knows everyones names at daycare and loves to be there. Sometimes it is a little hard and she doesn't want to go, but all in all is happy. I don't like the fact that I have to leave her everyday, but really look forward to picking her up at the end of the day.

Madison, we are so thrilled and overjoyed to be your parents. I pray that through the years you will learn more and more about our Lord Jesus Christ. As we enter this holiday season, I pray that your dad and I will be able to show you the true meaning of Christmas. We love you!

We took my whole family pictures over Thanksgiving. Brad, Madison, and I also needed to take pictures for our Christmas card. It has been a long time since we did them. I think the last time that we took family pictures was with Olan Mills for a church directory. We have all changed a lot since then. My oldest youngest brother got married in June of this year, so his beautiful bride was a part of the pictures. We also have our new addition on the way, so I got to take some pregnancies pictures. It was an all in all great picture time. The only problem was that you can never predict Texas weather, so that morning it was very cold and windy. You can't really tell in the pictures, but we were all very cold.

So, I was reading a Steece's Pieces blog today. She had a game of picture tag as her newest blog. Since 4 is my favorite number. I thought I would take part in the game. Ok, so here it goes:

Well, it is a picture of Madison when she was 6 months old. It was taken by her sitter, Crystal. She has a really good camera and wanted to take pictures of my sweet girl. I love looking back at these pictures because it just shows me how much she has grown over the year. Her sweet little face still looks the same. She is my everything and I am so excited to be a mommie again with our new addition coming in March 2009. We don't know the sex of the baby, but we already know that we love this baby just as much as we loved Madison when she was born. I never thought that I could say that, but I now can. Madison is going to be a great big sister. She already takes her babies around the house telling them, "Shh, it's ok". It is the cutest thing I have ever heard.

Brad's Dad

Well, we found out the results of the scans for Brad's dad, Kelly Reeves. The cancer did in fact come back in his liver and lungs. He has already started chemo and will be doing chemo every three weeks.

Please continue to pray for him and his recovering to beat this disease.
