We took her to church for the first time. She did great and everyone enjoyed seeing her. We enjoyed being able to see all of our friends.

Due Date

Today was my due date. Madie is now three weeks old. She is growing and doing great. We are getting use to the sleep deprivation. We really enjoy being her parents. She has truly blessed us.

Second Doctor's Appointment

We went back to the doctor today and she weighs 6 lbs 7 ozs. I am so excited that she is gaining weight. Before we know it she will be 10 lbs.

First Doctor's Appointment

We went to our first doctor's appointment today. They just met Madison and got her weight which was 5 lbs 8 ounces. She left the hospital at 5 lbs 5 ozs. She gained some ounces which is nice. I have been very concerned about her weight. Breastfeeding is not going as well as i had hoped. She isnt really latching on which is frustating for me and her. I cry after every feeding which I don't like. We will keep trying and if it doesn't work out then we always have formula.

IT'S A GIRL!!!

Brad and I decided not to find out what the sex of the baby was until I gave birth. It is a girl. Her name is Madison Faith Reeves. She weighed 5 lbs 12 ozs. She is so precious and truly a gift from God. We couldn't be happier. She slept most of the time in the hospital and really didn't take to breastfeeding very well. Hopefully, she will catch on at home. We had many vistors while we were at the hospital. My mom is going to stay with us for a couple of days to help me get the hang of taking care of a baby. Brad is able to stay at home for a couple of days after mom leaves, so that will be nice.

We are HAVING A BABY!!

I went in for a follow-up doctor's appointment today. I went in last week for my usual doctor's appointment and my blood pressure was high, so my doctor wanted to see me again the next week. I went to the doctor by myself this time (only time that has ever happened) and my blood pressure was still high. My doctor said that they didn't want to risk anything and would admit me into the hospital tonight. OH MY GOSH!! I can't believe that I am going to have a baby tomorrow. Also, on my way home from the doctor the sitter called that I wanted to keep my baby and said that she had an opening. What a blessing!

Another Baby Shower

I had another shower in Belton. It was a lot of fun to be able to spend time with everyone. I also found out the my friend is pregnant also. We are so excited.

1st Baby Shower

My aunt and cousin threw me a shower in Houston. It was a lot of fun to be able to see everyone that I grew up with. It was the first things that we got for the baby's room. It was a whole lot of fun and that is really when I started to get ready for the baby.

Bluebonnets

We decided (since I haven't taken very many pregnancies pictures) that we would go and take pictures in the bluebonnets. We went with our friends to the Bluebonnet Cafe in Burton, Texas and then, went out to find the perfect spot to take our pictures. It was a lot of fun just to be able to see the hill country

Doctor's Appointment

We went to the doctor and got to see our precious baby. We are so blessed that everything looks great and what an amazing thing that you get to hear the heartbeat. It was very reassuring to us to see that everything was going great with the baby. It was an amazing appointment. I have a hard time seeing how people don't believe there is a God when they see the miracle of a baby.
