New words...

All weekend Madison said "Momma" which really filled my heart, but I am not exactly sure if she knew what she was saying. We also went to the store and every person that passed by us she would say "Hi". It is her new word. It is so exciting to hear her talk. She talked the entire weekend. What she said we don't know, but man did she use those lungs. It is just crazy to think that in the next couple of months she will be walking and talking up a storm and we will actually be able to understand what she is saying. I will have to post some recent pictures of her room. We redid it over the weekend and put things up on the walls that needed to go up since she was born. Time sure does fly by...

11 months old

OH MY GOSH!! My baby girl is 11 months old today. I can't believe it. I have already started getting ready for her first birthday, but never really sat down and realized that she is growing up so fast. She has started taking steps, but they are prompted and she holds on to my hand. This next month she is going to grow up so fast. I can't believe how fast this year as gone by. For those moms that have babies cherish every moment that you spend with them because they will grow up so fast. I really didn't believe my friends whose children are older than me when they said that, but it is so true.

Music

So on my way to work this morning. I was listening to a song that I have listened to several times, but this time I was really moved after listening to it. It is by an amazing artist, Andrew Peterson. We were introduced to him by our best friends in college and have been listening to him every since, but I never really LISTENED to the words. You will never know the sacrifice that Jesus made for us on the cross. He is the reason that we are living and breathing today.

Here are the lyrics to the song:

It's enough to drive a man crazy; it'll break a man's faith. It's enough to make him wonder if he's ever been sane When he's bleating for comfort from Thy staff and Thy rod And the heaven's only answer is the silence of God It'll shake a man's timbers when he loses his heart When he has to remember what broke him apart This yoke may be easy, but this burden is not When the crying fields are frozen by the silence of God And if a man has got to listen to the voices of the mob Who are reeling in the throes of all the happiness they've got When they tell you all their troubles have been nailed up to that cross Then what about the times when even followers get lost? 'Cause we all get lost sometimes...There's a statue of Jesus on a monastery knoll In the hills of Kentucky, all quiet and cold And He's kneeling in the garden, as silent as a Stone All His friends are sleeping and He's weeping all alone And the man of all sorrows, he never forgot What sorrow is carried by the hearts that he bought So when the questions dissolve into the silence of God The aching may remain, but the breaking does not The aching may remain, but the breaking does not In the holy, lonesome echo of the silence of God.

If you ever are looking for some good to listen to. Andrew Peterson is an amazing artist.

Sweet Berry Farms weekend

We went to Sweet Berry Farms in Marble Falls over the weekend. It was a lot of fun and Madison really enjoyed riding in her red wagon. We picked lots of berries and ate some too along the way. Here are some pictures....

Easter

Madison playing with her bubbles being held by Auntie.

Madison had her first Easter and loved being able to play with the toys the Easter bunny bought her. She looked beautiful in her Easter dress and had a great time playing with her friends in the nursery while Mom and Dad went to church.

My family came in town on Saturday and we enjoyed our Easter celebrations on Saturday. Then, after church on Sunday we went over to Brad's parents house and enjoyed a wonderful meal with them.

It was a wonderful first Easter for Madison.

Easter Egg Hunt

Madison got to enjoy her first Easter Egg Hunt. The ladies of our life group class got together with all of our children and did an Easter Egg Hunt. Madison walked in between my fingers and picked up one Easter egg and pretty much just played with that one for the rest of the hunt.

Visit to Houston

This last weekend we went to go and visit my grandma in Houston. It was a lot of fun and we really enjoyed being able to see her new apartment. Madison loved looking at everything and meeting all Grandma's new friends.

10 months old

We can't believe that 10 months ago we had a beautiful baby girl. Time sure does fly by so fast. I have already started to plan her 1st birthday party.

She is learning something new everyday and sure does know how to throw her little fits even at 10 months. She is so much fun though. She is cruising around the furniture and really enjoying getting into things.
